Marissa Mayer to exit Yahoo board after ownership, name change

Yahoo Inc. CEO Marissa Mayer plans to leave the company’s board after the sale of its core business to Verizon is completed. Mayer joins co-founder David Filo and four other directors who are stepping down after the new company, a shareholder in Alibaba Group Holding Inc. and Yahoo Japan, changes its name to Altaba Inc. and reduces its board to five members, according to a story by Bloomberg which cited a filing on Monday by the company.
