Do tax avoidance scandals really stop consumers buying?
Facebook’s tax affairs have once again come under fire after its UK business generated £11.3m in tax credit last year despite making profits globally of $6.19bn (£4.97bn).
According to its most recent accounts, Facebook made a pre-tax loss of £52.5m in the UK in 2015 on sales of £210.7m. That compares to a £28.48m loss on sales of £104.9m in 2014.
