People must come before profit in reformed social care system

Responding to a call today (Monday) from Care England for the chancellor to address difficulties for the social care sector in Wednesday’s budget, UNISON general secretary Christina McAnea said:
“It’s right to call on the chancellor to address urgent funding needs. The care system must be reformed and properly funded.
“Social care provision needs to mirror the structure and ethos of the NHS. P
