Dear vendors, lately I’ve noticed you’ve gotten into the habit of requiring a smartphone or tablet to install many devices, including printers. Once upon a time, devices shipped with instruction manuals. Now, they come with instructions to download an app. Only then do you get information about the device. And then these devices demand that they be set up on my wireless network with a smartphone a necessary part of the process.Initially, it was very easy to set up devices this way.
