Zurich to cut 440 jobs from UK GI

Zurich today (9 November) announced it is to cut 440 jobs from
its UK general insurance business, as it aims to reduce costs by at
least £40mn ($60.1mn) over the next two years.
The cost cutting is part of a wider group transformation
programme, which aims to deliver annual run-rate cost savings of
$300mn by the end of 2016, and of more than $1bn by the end of
2018.
