XL Catlin hires former AIG exec to launch M&A division

XL Catlin has hired former AIG executive Brian Benjamin to head a
new global M&A insurance division.
As global head of the division, Benjamin will initially focus on
hiring underwriting teams in New York and around the world to
create a suite of transactional risk products, said the carrier in
a statement.
It added that the products will allow clients to maximize deal
valuations, enhance the bid process in competitive auctions and
bridge gaps that could otherwise prevent parties completing..
