WR Berkley grows top and bottom line in Q1

Specialty insurer WR Berkley managed to grow its premium base and
profitability in the first quarter of the year as the group also
saw its combined ratio improve.
Operating income increased to $114.7mn, up 8 percent from the
$105.9mn it reported for the same period in 2015.
The result, which equates to $0.89 per share, beat Wall Street
analysts' consensus estimate of $0.85.
