US House passes six-year Tria extension

The US House of Representatives voted to pass the legislation
needed to extend the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (Tria), bringing
an end to months of political wrangling.
The legislation will renew the act for six years and double the
damage threshold for the federal backstop programme to $200mn over
a phased-in series of increases, while the co-insurance share will
rise from 15 percent to 20 percent.
