UK government publishes ILS legislation

Amendments included in the Bank of England and Financial Services
Bill will make it easier to conduct insurance-linked securities
(ILS) business in the UK.
The amendments were due to come before the House of Lords in the
bill's committee stage today (9 November).
The draft makes provision for HM Treasury (HMT) to facilitate
and regulate the establishment and operation of transformer
vehicles, as well as the trading of investments issued by such
vehicles.
