Sompo-Canopius Swiss platform rated A

The new Swiss company that will write business on behalf of Sompo
Canopius Re has secured an A rating from AM Best and an A+ rating
from Standard & Poor's, Canopius said today (26 November).
Sompo Japan Canopius Reinsurance AG has been formally approved
by Swiss regulator Finma and will commence underwriting on 1
January.
The separately capitalised entity will write reinsurance
alongside Canopius Syndicate 4444 and form part of the brand Sompo
Canopius Re, which will now act as...
