Sompo Canopius appoints US finpro chief

Sompo Canopius has hired Laurie Banez to lead its US financial and
professional lines practice, the Lloyd's (re)insurer announced
today (18 July).
She is based in New York and will report to group head of
casualty Stephen Hartwig.
Banez joins from Argo, where she served as chief underwriting
officer (CUO) and head of Argo Pro for more than six years from
2010.
