Solvency II struggles push Gable to explore sale

Liechtenstein-based insurer Gable is exploring a whole or
partial sale of the company after it revealed it would be unable to
raise sufficient capital to be Solvency II compliant.
In a stock exchange announcement yesterday (25 May), Gable said
it undertook an extensive review of the implications of capital
requirements under the Solvency II regime in conjunction with its
advisers Grant Thornton.
