RMS ups wine country wildfire estimate to $6bn-8bn
RMS has upped its range of estimated economic losses for a
series of devastating wildfires that hit California earlier this
month from $3bn-$6bn to $6bn-$8bn.
Insured losses are likely to come in at similar levels to the
economic loss range because of high penetration rates of wildfire
coverage in standard homeowners and commercial policies, the
modelling firm reiterated.
