RenRe names non-executive chairman

RenaissanceRe has appointed James Gibbons as non-executive
chairman, the firm announced today (16 November).
Gibbons will take over the position from Ralph Levy, who has
been non-executive chairman since 2011, following the firm's
annual general meeting (AGM) in May 2016. Levy will remain a
director of the company, subject to his re-election at the AGM.
Gibbons has been a member of the board since 2008 and chair of
the audit committee since 2013.
