R&Q completes Belgian aviation legacy transfer

Legacy specialist Randall and Quilter (R&Q) has received
regulatory approval for its transfer of legacy liabilities at
Belgian aviation (re)insurer Aviabel.
The company had previously written a reinsurance of the
contracts, but has now formally removed the liabilities from
Aviabel's books.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The liability moves to R&Q's Malta-based operation RQIM,
which was set up in 2013 for the purpose of consolidating owned and
acquired insuranc
