Quota share deal adds $222mn to TransRe top line
TransRe's top line surged in the fourth quarter as it booked
$221.6mn of premiums assumedunder a new whole account quota share
treaty written for an unspecified major US personal lines
carrier.
According to parent Alleghany's 10-K filing, $64.7mn of the
premium ceded to its reinsurance arm under the deal related to
property business, with the $156.9mn balance representing casualty
and other lines.
