QBE names North American CEO

QBE has hired Russell Johnston to become CEO of its North American
operations, effective from 31 May.
Johnston will succeed David Duclos, who is retiring from
full-time employment but will remain with the company as a
non-executive director of QBE Emerging Markets and Equator Re.
Most recently, Johnston was president of American International
Group's casualty operations in the Americas, with
responsibility for all US casualty underwriters in the US, Canada,
Bermuda and London.
