Professional liability offers promise amid peril: AM Best

New entrants have made the professional liability market
increasingly competitive over the past five years while burgeoning
risks from cyber threats and class-action lawsuits targeting
executives and directors may squeeze future profits, according to
AM Best.
Rates rose overall from the first quarter of 2011 through 2013,
driven by loss trends, particularly in the primary layer, AM Best
