Oklahoma commissioner challenges earthquake rates

Oklahoma insurance commissioner John Doak has said insurers must
give valid reasons for increasing earthquake insurance rates, in
order to keep the market competitive.
A public hearing was held last month to discuss the rise in
earthquake insurance rates and the availability of suitable
earthquake insurance coverage for Oklahoma consumers.

degree of competition in the market and that consumers had a
