Nationwide plans to pump $100mn into tech ventures

Diversified carrier Nationwide intends to invest over $100mn in
technology-focussed ventures under the leadership of Terrance
Williams, the insurers marketing chief, and newly hired Scott
Sanchez.
Sanchez, most recently the vice president for innovation at First
Data in Atlanta, will join Columbus, Ohio-based Nationwide next
month as chief innovation officer, reporting to Williams, who was
given the added role of president, emerging businesses, the company
said today.
