Nate makes landfall in Mississippi 

Hurricane Nate steered clear
of the New Orleans metropolitan area as it made landfall on the
Louisiana/Mississippi border overnight as a Category 1
hurricane.
The storm's initial
landfall was in southeast Louisiana, near the mouth of Mississippi
river, before it crossed sea and made landfall again near Biloxi,
Mississippi, when the NHC recorded maximum wind speeds of 85 mph
(140 km/h) at 12.30am local time.
