Large claims generate Skuld underwriting loss
Mutual Norwegian marine insurer Skuld today (19 December) reported
an underwriting loss of $6.5mn in the nine months to 20 November
2014, due to a series of large claims.
Although Skuld announced a consolidated bottom line of $5mn in
the period, it said it had seen a number of claims in excess of
$1mn in the last three months.
