Hurricane Maria threatens Caribbean as Jose nears US

Former Tropical Storm Maria has gained strength to become the
seventh hurricane of the season as it approaches the Caribbean.
Tropical Storm Risk currently estimates Maria at Category 1, but
JLT Re warned the storm could be close to Category 3 strength by
tonight as it crosses through the north-central Lesser
Antilles.
