Hermine insured losses to approach $500mn: KCC
Hurricane Hermine will generate insured losses that are likely to
approach only $500mn, according to cat loss estimating and risk
management firm Karen Clark & Company.
In a flash estimate hours after the storm made landfall on the
Northwest Florida coast as a category one hurricane, the firm
projected total economic losses will likely be close to $1bn.
The estimates include a forecast of over 50,000 claims,
primarily on residential properties and autos, spread across
