Google to shut down comparison offering

Google will close down its US and UK financial services price
comparison offering Google Compare after one year, following its
failure to take off.
Google Compare offered price comparison services for motor
insurance as well as credit cards and mortgages.
In an email acquired by news website Search Engine Land and
later confirmed by the Wall Street Journal, the Google
Compare team said that it would begin to wind down its operations
on 23 February, and would cease business completely...
