Florida regulator records $218mn in Matthew claims

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has said preliminary
Hurricane Matthew claims reported by insurers had reached $218mn
earlier this week from 39,302 claims.
The regulator is keeping a running tally of claims filed in
relation to the storm. The latest results cover the
period through to the early morning of Wednesday 12 October.By far the largest volume of claims - 11,955 - had been received
from Volusia county, followed by Duval and Brevard counties with
