Flood a significant contributor to Irma losse: RMS
A significant proportion of the losses from Hurricane Irma will
be from flood losses, said Robert Muir-Wood, chief research officer
at RMS, at a briefing focused on Irma and Harvey in Monte Carlo
today.
Whilst Cuba had "taken the sting" out of the
hurricane, meaning it was weaker when it made landfall in Florida,
Irma is likely to generate a significant amount of flood losses, he
said.
