Fairfax tests LatAm market with old AIG book
Fairfax put the Latin American reinsurance market to the test as it
sought up to $200mn of cover for a number of businesses in the
region that it acquired from AIG late last year, The
Insurance Insider understands.
It is the first time that the books in Argentina, Chile,
Colombia, Uruguay and Venezuela have been brought to the market on
a standalone basis since AIG centralised its reinsurance buying a
number of years ago.
