D&O rates lowest in a decade

Big-three broker Aon has found that the average price of
directors and officers (D&O) coverage has fallen to the lowest
level since it started tracking rates a decade ago.
The price of $1mn of limits fell by 9.2 percent in the first
quarter compared to this time last year continuing an almost
uninterrupted downward pricing trend.
Programs that renewed in both the first quarter of 2016 and the
prior-year period benefitted from an average 6.7 percent reduction
year-on-year.
