CSC eyes last-minute bid for Xchanging

The bidding war for insurance outsourcer and software group
Xchanging plc has been thrown wide open with a late show of
interest from IT services firm Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).
UK outsourcer Capita had won the early face-off to acquire the
outsourcing firm with a 160p per share cash offer after private
equity firm Apollo announced that it had decided not to proceed
with a 170p per share indicative bid.
