Coverys expands in medical liability with GIMC deal

Medical professional liability carrier Coverys plans to expand its
reach in Florida by acquiring A-rated Global Insurance Management
Company (GIMC) and its Healthcare Underwriters Group subsidiary.
Coverys has demonstrated ambitious growth plans in recent months.
In June, the mutual insurer acquired the Lloyd's managing
agency arm of London-listed carrier Randall & Quilter in a
$22.6mn deal.
