Brit to write onshore US marine

Brit Insurance's onshore US insurance platform has hired Tom
Carroll from XL Catlin to spearhead its entry into the marine
market, the company said today (3 May).
Carroll, who started work at Brit yesterday, has joined from XL
Catlin, where he was a senior vice president for marine. Ahead of
XL's acquisition of Catlin, Carroll had been head of US marine
for the London-listed carrier.
