BoE appoints deputy governor for prudential regulation
The Bank of England (BoE) has appointed Sam Woods as deputy
governor for prudential regulation and CEO of the Prudential
Regulation Authority (PRA), the central bank announced today (8
April).
The appointment is effective from 1 July 2016 and is for a
renewable term of five years.
He succeeds Andrew Bailey, who will leave at the end of June to
become the head of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
