Aspen in talks as bid process nears

Aspen is engaged in takeover talks with a number of interested
parties and is preparing to run a bid process, The
Insurance Insider can reveal.
Sources said that Aspen, which is being advised by Goldman Sachs
and JP Morgan, has had approaches from at least one strategic
bidder and two private equity houses.
Indications are believed to be in the range $47.50 to $50 per
share, with the shares closing at $42.63 yesterday.
