Argo warns of $16.5mn in Q1 charges

Argo Group has warned that its results for the 2017 first
quarter will be reduced by $16.5mn in one-time charges reflecting a
series of expenses since the beginning of January.
One of the most significant charges comes from late claims
submitted in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, which skirted the US
East Coast in October causing insured losses of $3.5bn according to
one estimate.
