Analysts quiz Everest Re over expenses hike

Everest Re has come under fire from analysts after an increased
expense ratio impacted the Bermudian carrier's first quarter
combined ratio.
Underwriting expenses increased by 1.2 percentage points to 5.9
percent in Q1 this year. However, CEO and president Dominic Addesso
stressed that the expense ratio remained better than the industry
