AmTrust to buy commercial auto writer CorePointe

AmTrust Financial Services has continued to demonstrate its
appetite for growth through acquisition with an agreement to buy
commercial auto carrier CorePointe Insurance Company.
In a statement, the New York-headquartered insurer said the
transaction is expected to be immediately accretive.
CorePointe generated $53.7mn in net earned premium in 2013 from
a book of business focused on commercial package insurance products
targeting automobile and motorcycle dealerships and auto repair
shops.
