Airline exposure expected to top $1trn in 5 years: AGCS

Potential losses related to airline fleets is set to surpass
$1trn within the next five years, if not before, according to a
report on global aviation safety released today (4 December).
Since 2000, exposure increased by more than 50 percent due to
increasing fleet values and more passengers, taking the overall
figure from $576bn to $896bn.

And by 2050 it is estimated that around 16 billion passengers
will fly annually, an anticipated increase of 384 percent, compared
to 2014.
