ACR secures approval for Korean branch

Asia Capital Re (ACR) has opened a branch office in Seoul, South
Korea, after the country's regulator granted approval, the
Singapore-based reinsurer said today.
The branch office is led by principal officer Jeffrey Lee Jun
Soo, who has headed ACR's Korean operations since he joined
from Samsung in 2012.
In the 12 months to 31 March 2015 ACR wrote $75mn of South
Korean business, making it the firm's third largest market
after China and Japan.
