iPad Pro as fast as an M1 Mac… but why?

It seems likely that the updated iPad Pro -- anticipated to land soon -- with feature a chip "that is on par with the faster M1 chip in the latest MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac mini." OK, but what will we do with that power?
