Yorkshire Day: puddings fly for region's annual celebration

The Yorkshire Day events will include the annual yorkshire pudding-tossing competition with prizes for the child and adult with the biggest throws.People across “God’s Own County” celebrated Yorkshire Day on Tuesday with pudding throwing, a straw bale race, the renaming of pubs and mayoral marches.The first celebration took place after the Yorkshire Ridings Society protested against the local government reorganisation of 1974.
