Wanted man held after RAF jets escorted plane to Stansted

A passenger wanted by the Metropolitan Police was arrested after RAF fighter jets intercepted a Pakistani passenger plane. The Pakistan International Airlines aircraft flying from Lahore to Heathrow was escorted to Stansted airport by the RAF Typhoons. "This is not believed to be a hijack situation or terror matter," Essex Police said in a statement.
