Virgin Trains East Coast Staff Call Off Three 24-Hour Strikes

Three 24-hour strikes by Virgin Trains East Coast staff have been called off pending further talks, the company has said. Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union had been planning to walk out later this month in a row over jobs, working conditions and safety. David Horne, Virgin Trains' managing director on the east coast route, added: "We're pleased that the RMT has agreed to suspend industrial action and continue talks.
