Virgin Axes West Coast Trains Ahead Of Strike

Virgin Trains has scrapped all West Coast main line services next Monday and Tuesday ahead of a strike by Network Rail workers. Train passengers can expect major travel disruption over the Bank Holiday period as thousands of rail workers prepare for a walkout over pay. Passengers have been warned not to travel unless "absolutely necessary" by various train companies who have started cancelling and restricting services.
