Use as little water as possible, public urged

People across the UK are being urged to use as little water as possible after extreme weather hit supplies.Residents of some parts of London and the South East said they had been without water for more than 24 hours by Sunday night, with little indication of when the supplies would return.Burst pipes on networks and an increase in leaks are leading to exceptionally high demand for water and increasingly widespread shortages following the recent freeze and rapid thaw.
