Unions Call Off This Week's Tube Strikes

Two 24-hour strikes on the Tube planned by Unite members for this week have been suspended. The union said it made the decision as a "gesture of goodwill" to allow further talks to be held with London Underground (LU) management but admitted there were "sticking points". The Rail, Maritime and Transport union, and the Transport Salaried Staffs Association have yet to announce whether they are also suspending the industrial action.
