Uber's licence renewal in Brighton turned down

Brighton and Hove City Council's licensing panel said the firm is "not fit and proper", citing concerns over a data breach in which customers' personal details were leaked.Councillors were also concerned about the number of Uber drivers who are not licensed in Brighton but still operate there.The Silicon Valley firm is already battling a Transport for London decision to strip them of their licence in the capital.
