Uber Given Green Light To Fight English Test Rule

Uber has been given permission to launch a High Court challenge against some of the rules requiring drivers to pass an English test. Transport for London is introducing the rule from 1 October, which will mean all private hire drivers having to prove they could understand English. Uber had said that, while it supports spoken English skills, the new requirements were tougher than those for British citizenship and public sector workers.
