Turtle with plastic in stomach washes up on beach in Cornwall

Plastic has been found in the stomach of a leatherback turtle that washed up dead on a beach in Cornwall.The creature was discovered on the shore at Marazion on Sunday after severe summer storms, and a post-mortem carried out by researchers at the University of Exeter found more evidence of the amount of pollution in our seas.Based on the condition of its shell, it is believed that the turtle - likely from the Caribbean - may have been killed by a boat propeller.
