Tube Strike Action Brings Underground To Halt

Tube services have ground to a halt with the start of a 24-hour strike which has been branded "illegitimate" by the boss of London Underground. Commuters in the capital left work early in a bid to beat the walkout which will cause widespread travel disruption until Friday morning. And tennis fans at Wimbledon, many dependent on the Tube to get home, were advised to leave before the end of Andy Murray's match because of the strike.
